Complete abdominal ultrasound covers the solid organs of the abdomen and pelvis: liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, bladder and prostate. The aim is to examine these organs in one visit and look for stones, cysts, inflammatory or tumour changes.
Preparation
Easily digestible food the day before. Do not eat for 4–5 hours before the exam (water is allowed). Do not urinate for at least 30 minutes beforehand so the bladder is filled. Bring previous findings.
