Musculoskeletal ultrasound is used for soft-tissue injuries and pain: tendon, ligament or muscle tears, tendinitis, bursal and joint effusion, ganglion cysts and palpable lumps.
The most common exams are the shoulder, knee, elbow, ankle and wrist.
