Besides the liver, Color Doppler measures flow in the portal circulation. The aim is to assess liver vessels in known liver disease or suspected portal hypertension.
Preparation
Do not eat for 4–5 hours before the exam; water is allowed. Easily digestible food the day before. Bring previous findings.
