Ultrasound can diagnose tendon, ligament or muscle tears with or without haematoma, tendinitis or tendinosis, bursal and joint effusion, palpable lumps (often lipomas or atheromas), ganglion cysts and hernias.
The most common exams are the shoulder, knee, elbow, ankle and wrist.
